Where High Performance Becomes More Human
Nervous-system-informed executive coaching and leadership development for leaders, teams, and organizations operating under sustained pressure.
Based in Brooklyn, New York · Serving clients worldwide
I help executives change the physiological patterns beneath how they lead.
Most executive coaching focuses on insight, mindset, and behavior. Those matter. But under pressure, the nervous system can override what a leader already understands.
Using Somatic Experiencing® principles, this work helps leaders recognize the state they are leading from, build greater capacity for recovery, and develop more choice in how they respond.
The result is clearer thinking, steadier relationships, and more adaptive leadership when the stakes are high.
CLARITY UNDER PRESSURE

ADAPTIVE LEADERSHIP

For leaders carrying significant responsibility—and seeking a more human way to sustain performance, relationships, and themselves.

OUR METHOD
The Human Capacity Method™
The nervous system work is the mechanism.
Greater capacity for work, relationships, and life is the outcome.
The method follows a four-phase progression. Each phase builds on the last, helping people recognize the state they are in, restore access to capacity, respond with greater range and choice, and bring that capacity into the moments that matter most.
-
Recognize the state you are in and how it shapes your thoughts, choices, behavior, and relationships.
This includes both cognitive and physiological awareness: noticing patterns, sensations, triggers, and stress responses before they begin directing the moment.
-
Build greater access to restoration, steadiness, and sustainable energy.
Recovery is not a retreat from responsibility. It is part of what allows people to remain clear, connected, and present within it.
-
Expand your capacity to respond with greater range and choice under pressure, conflict, and uncertainty.
The aim is not to become calm all the time. It is to make more than one response available when it matters.
-
Bring new capacity into the decisions, relationships, responsibilities, and environments that shape your life and work.
Integration is where awareness becomes lived practice and new responses become more accessible over time.
The goal is not constant calm. The goal is adaptability under pressure.
ABOUT
The Practitioner Behind State House
Alicia Divers, MA-SD, SEP™, is the founder of State House Somatics, a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, and a nervous-system-informed executive coach.
She created State House from a belief that the capacity people build for work should support the whole of their lives.
Her approach works with the physiological states and patterns that shape how people respond under pressure, helping them build greater access to presence, recovery, flexibility, and choice.
The aim is not only to help people perform well. It is to help them remain connected to themselves, to others, and to the life their work is meant to support.
